Our structure

Local London is hosted by Redbridge Council on behalf of all of our member boroughs.

All our staff have Redbridge email addresses. Our main office is in Ilford.

Local London has its own governance model and structure for delivery.

Strategic direction and oversight

  1. Joint Committee: holds Local London to account and sets its direction. This committee is made up of leaders of our member authorities.
  2. Chief Executives’ Board: ensures the work of Local London is delivered in line with borough priorities and the budget is on track. The board is made up of chief executives from our member authorities.

Our member borough leaders

Direction is set by elected Leaders of our member authorities via our Joint Committee.

The nine Leaders and Mayor are:

  • Leader of LB Bexley – Cllr Baroness Teresa O’Neill OBE (Deputy Chairman)
  • Leader of LB Barking & Dagenham – Cllr Dominic Twomey
  • Leader of LB Bromley – Cllr Colin Smith
  • Leader of LB Enfield – Cllr Ergin Erbil
  • Leader of LB Havering – Cllr Ray Morgon
  • Mayor of LB Newham – Rokhsana Fiaz OBE
  • Leader of LB Redbridge – Cllr Kam Rai
  • Leader of LB Waltham Forest – Cllr Grace Williams

Chief Executives of our member authorities

The Chief Executives of our member authorities provide support via our Chief Executives Board.

The nine chief executives are:

  • Paul Thorogood – Bexley
  • Fiona Taylor – Barking & Dagenham
  • Ade Adetosoye CBE – Bromley
  • Ian Davis – Enfield
  • Debbie Warren – Greenwich
  • Andrew Blake-Herbert – Havering
  • Abi Gbago – Newham
  • Adrian Loades – Redbridge (Interim)
  • Linzi Roberts-Egan – Waltham Forest

Operational

There are three boards that bring member boroughs together to oversee and deliver Local London’s work:

  1. Skills and Employment Board: Oversees the skills strategy and Local London skills and employment programmes. Engages on issues including the new deal for young people, helping Londoners into good work, green jobs and skills.
  2. Growth and Recovery Board: Oversees the local London e-business and Digital Infrastructure programmes. Engages on topics including infrastructure, digital inclusion, London economic recovery framework and engagement with the economic corridors.
  3. Programme Board: provides monitoring and risk assurance over our suite of externally funded programmes and seeks out future opportunities that align to our ambitions.
