We are looking for a brilliant Governance and Secretariat Officer to join our friendly team at Local London.

Local London is a partnership of 9 London boroughs in the north east and south east of the capital. We’re a champion for the sub-region to ensure it benefits from current and emerging opportunities.

To ensure that the partnership is managed to the highest governance standards, we are looking to recruit an experienced Governance and Secretariat Officer.  We are looking for candidates who will be able to provide high level, professional executive assistance and support to Local London. This includes ensuring the Joint Committee, Boards and officer groups of Local London are professionally managed and operated in line with our Inter Authority Agreement.

As this post-holder will often liaise with Leaders of the 9 Local London Boroughs, we are looking for candidates with experience of working at a senior level with a high degree of professionalism and discretion. You will also be a key point of contact with senior Redbridge services to ensure that the relationship with Local London’s host authority is managed professionally.

This is a hybrid post is based in Ilford at the London Borough of Redbridge. The post-holder may need to be required to work flexibly, including working from home and travelling occasionally to meetings and events across the Local London area as required by the demands of the workload.
